Jean Delores Leonard

1928 - 2026

Jean Delores Leonard, age 97 of Oshkosh, passed away at her residence with her son by her side on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. She was born in Oshkosh on May 13, 1928 to the late Jacob and Katherine (Lang) Stahle. Jean was united in marriage to Donald Leonard on June 3, 1950 and together raised their son, Dean.

Throughout her life, Jean poured her heart into her family and her work. She dedicated many years to her role as a homemaker but also made her mark at Kresge's for 17 years and later at Rogan Shoes for 11 years. Jean was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church, where she found community and connection.

Jean was an avid golfer and softball player earlier in life. Her true joy came from her family, especially her grandchildren, Halle and Colin. She cherished the moments spent caring for them as toddlers and watching them grow and make their way in the world. Jean also took great pride in her home, yard and flower garden, always tending to them with care. Known for her selflessness, she was always thinking of others before herself. This is truly who she was.

Jean is survived by her son, Dean (Angie Kampmann) Leonard, her beloved grandchildren, Halle (fiancé Jon Miller) and Colin, and her brother, LeRoy (Patsy) Stahle. She'll be dearly missed by her many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Leonard, as well as her siblings, Douglas (Vikki) Stahle, Esther (Royce) Parke, Clara (Lawrence) Esser, Betty (Harold) Schertz, Elsie (Robert) Sphatt, and Ruth (Kenneth) Wolf and loving nephew, Kurt Wolf.

A memorial service to celebrate Jean's life will take place at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, located at 100 Lake Pointe Dr., on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. There will be a visitation at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the service begins.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the caring staff of Senior Stride and Moments Hospice for the compassionate care provided to Jean during this past year.
