Jean Catherine Loftus

Jean C. Loftus, nee Kozak, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at her residence at Rosary Hill Home at the age of 94. Preceded in death in 1982 by her husband of 27 years, James M. Loftus. Devoted mother of Mark (Jean), Ann, Michael, Jim (Angela), and Brian (Julie). Adored grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of 6. Loving sister of Pat Reynders and preceded in death by siblings Mary Zanosko, Dorothy Varyu, Ann Kozak, and Joe Kozak. Dear sister-in-law to Sr. Mary Loftus, RSM, and preceded in death by Fr. Joseph Loftus, OSM, and John Loftus.

Visitation Friday, December 26, 2025 from 3-8 P.M. Funeral Saturday, December 27th beginning with Chapel Prayers at 10:15 A.M. at the Becvar & Son Funeral Home, 5539 W. 127th Street, Crestwood, to Our Lady of the Ridge Church, 10811 Ridgeland Avenue, Chicago Ridge, for an 11 A.M. Mass of the Christian Burial. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 6001 W. 111th Street, Alsip.

Special thanks are given to the Dominican nuns and the staff at Rosary Hill Home in Justice, IL who provided extraordinary care for Jean for the past 2 years.
