There are only a few special people born selfless with the capacity to care for others above themselves, Jean Marie Hare was one of them. Jean, age 95, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021. She was born in Conklin, MI on July 4, 1926 to Charles & Helen (Matthews) Finkler and married Donald Hare, Sr. on February 13, 1941 and he always said she was his Valentine. Mrs. Hare worked as a waitress for Doo Drop Inn and later as a woodworker for E.H. Sheldon until retirement. Jean was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church, loved to knit, crochet, work with cold ceramics & enjoyed square dancing. She learned to swim as a senior citizen and won her first trophy!
SURVIVORS
Sons, Donald (Victoria Vallier) Hare, Jr. of Muskegon; John (Michelle Ross) Hare of Florida; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and 25 great-great grandchildren. Siblings, Marylou (Sam) Tardani, James (Evonne) Finkler; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her her parents, her husband, Donald in 2002; daughters, Jean Wilson and son-in-law Richard Wilson, Donna Aho and son-in-law Thomas Aho, Rose Mary (Larry) Weaver; brothers, Francis Finkler and sister-in-law Lorraine Finkler, Charles Finkler and sister-in-law Irma Finkler; niece, Carol Tardani; nephew, Mark Finkler
MEMORIAL MASS
A Memorial Mass will take place on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 11;00 AM at St. Michaels Catholic Church with Fr. Charles Hall officiating. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery. VISITATION: One hour prior to the service at the church. MEMORIAL: Donations can be made to help support Clock Funeral Homes Annual Veterans Chili Dinner.
