Jean B. Marshpund entered her peaceful rest on Dec. 13, 2024, at the age of 88. She resided in Chester and was a native of Colonial Heights.
Jean was a loving, caring Mother, Daughter, Grandma, Nanny, GiGi, Aunt, Sister & friend. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her new Great Granddaughter, Ava Jean. She would light up every time she saw or talked about Ava.
Everyone fell in love with her sweet spirit, and she welcomed everyone into her home, heart and life with no judgement and open arms. She touched so many lives during her time and will be remembered with admiration and love and live in our hearts forever.
She is survived by her children, Evelyn "Poony" Goddard, Ronald "Bubba" Marshpund, & Sheri Mayton.
Grandchildren Joshua Marshpund (Molly), Joseph Hobbs (Felicia), Great Granddaughter Ava Jean, Nieces, Susan Haydon & Ronda Harrison & also beloved "like" Grandchildren, Britnie & Robert Jarratt.
Predeceased in death by her parents Margaret & Jesse Wingfield, Sister Joan Harrison & Husband Ronald Marshpund & many lifelong friends who she missed so much.
The family would like to thank everyone for their support and love and ask that you remember her with a smile, laugh & much love.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at the Crater Road Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes 3935 South Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23805. The family will accept friends an hour before the service. Graveside will continue at Southlawn Cemetery 1911 Birdsong Road, South Prince George, Virginia 23805.
