Jean Maziarz Obituary

Born on November 9, 1940, in Lawrence, MA, she was the daughter of the late James and Irene (Ayer) Labonte. Jean was raised in Lawrence, attended local schools, and worked for many years as a dedicated nurse's aide at Mary Immaculate Nursing Home.
Jean's greatest joy in life was her family. She was a deeply loving sister and best friend to Gail Haddock, with whom she shared countless good times, often over a game of bingo. Her generous spirit and dedication to family were most evident in the beloved Christmas Eve gathering she hosted every year for the entire family. Jean was known for her welcoming spirit, embracing all visitors to her home with open arms. Her home was always tastefully decorated with the things she found beautiful, including her cherished Hummel figurines and the thimble collection. Jeff's friends often commented on these collections during his school years when they gathered to game, enjoying the food and drinks Jean generously provided.
She is survived by her loving husband, Richard L. Maziarz, and her son, Jeff, and his husband, Aaron Sherman of Fitchburg, MA. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, James and Irene Labonte, and her sister, Gail Haddock.
Friends and family are invited to visitation on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 2:00 – 3:30 PM at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. A funeral service will be held at 3:30 PM. To leave a message of condolence, please visit www.carrierfuneralhome.com.
