Dear brandy
I´ve been thinking a lot lately about how much you've done for gram, and I realized I haven't said 'thank you' nearly enough. So I'm writing this to make sure you really hear it.
In her older years, when things got harder, you became her rock. You were there for the appointments, the medications, the meals, the laughs on good days, and the comfort on tough ones. You listened when she repeated stories, held her hand when she was scared, and made her feel loved every single day. That kind of steady, loving care isn't something everyone can give-it's rare and beautiful, and you did it so naturally.
I know it wasn't always easy. There were probably exhausting days, moments of worry, and sacrifices you made without complaint. Yet you never made Mom feel like a burden. Instead, you made her feel valued and surrounded by family.
Because of you, she got to stay in her home longer, keep her independence where she could, and enjoy the little joys that mattered. And because of you, I had peace knowing she was in such caring hands.
Thank you doesn't feel big enough, but it's what I have. Thank you for your time, your energy, your patience, and most of all, your love. You've been an incredible gift to Mom-and to all of us.
I'm so proud of the person you are, and I love you more than words can say.
With all my gratitude and affection,
pat and caren.
