Jean Marie (DeMello) Molinari, aged 82, a longtime resident of Duxbury, originally from Scituate, MA, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2024. Her passing leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and dedication to family and friends.
Jean is survived by her devoted husband, Arthur Molinari, of Duxbury. She was the beloved mother of three daughters: Lauren (Molinari) Kuppens and her husband Kevin, Nancy (Molinari) Bownes and her husband Kevin, and Diane Molinari and her wife Tina Petras. Jean was a treasured "Mimi" to her five grandchildren: Alexandra, Madalyn, and Eliza Kuppens, and John and Anna Bownes.
Her professional life included many years as a bank teller at Rockland Trust Company and later as a Pharmacy Technician for CVS. Jean's engaging personality made her perfectly suited for these roles, as she cherished the opportunity to connect with and assist members of her community.
Jean and Art loved their annual trips to Florida, escaping the New England cold with their beloved dog, Minnie Pearl. Among her favorite pastimes were relaxing at the beach and boating with her husband.
Jean was actively involved in volunteering at the local Senior Center, particularly offering her support to Alzheimer's patients. She was also a dedicated member of the Holy Family Church Choir, where she spent many years "singing for God," a term fondly used by her family.
Jean's social spirit shined through her participation in gatherings with friends, whether it was part of the "breakfast club" outings or morning chats along Shipyard Lane in Duxbury.
Above all, Jean's greatest joy was her family. She faithfully attended every dance recital, graduation, school event, hockey game, baseball game, and cheer competition involving her grandchildren, proudly cheering them on at every opportunity. Her dedication and love for her family were unmatched.
Jean will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her warmth, generosity, and the countless memories she leaves behind will continue to inspire and comfort her loved ones.
A funeral mass to honor Jean's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 21st at Holy Family Church in Duxbury, with a burial service immediately following at Mayflower Cemetery in Duxbury. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend and celebrate her well-lived life."
