Jean Lorraine Petersen

Jean L. Petersen died on February 12, 2026 at age 97. Beloved wife of the late Henry Edward Petersen, mother of Jacqueline Swanson (Steven), Thomas Stephen Petersen (Penny), the late Jane Mongelli (the late John Mongelli), Joan Zucconi (Paul), Julie Petrisek (Raymond), Stephen Joseph Petersen (the late Donna Manges) and Vincent Edward Petersen (Vasilike) and loving sister of the late Joanne Clark. A proud Washingtonian, Jean attended St. Cecilia's School and Trinity College. Jean is survived by 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jean's life on Thursday, February 19 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 West Central Avenue, Davidsonville, Maryland, with visitation at 10 am followed by Mass at 11 am.
