Jean Bryant Plank, 81, of Sylva, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.
She was born on June 23, 1944 in Jackson County to thelate George and Lelloween Jones Bryant. Jean enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking and spending time with her family. She was a member of Old Savannah Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Roy Bryant.
Jean is survived by her husband of 59 years, Leland Herbert Plank; two daughters, Lisa Singleton (Greg) and Sylvia Grace (Bob); two sons, Leland Flint Plank (Tonya) and Raymond Bryant Plank; a step-daughter, Allison Hamilton; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, George Bryant and Davis Bryant, Jr. (Brenda); and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2025 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Reverend Austin Frady officiating. Burial will follow at Franklin Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
