Jean H. Przybycien

Jean Przybycien of Wilbraham, age 86, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Mercy Hospital. She was born in Springfield, MA on June 5,1937, a daughter of the late Raymond and Irene (Hebert) Chevalier. In 1949, Jean was recognized by the mayor of Springfield for her heroic efforts in saving the life of a boy who was swept away by the Connecticut River.
Jean was deeply devoted to her family and friends, and supportive of everyone she met. She was so likable, and she liked everyone, making connections easily with her sense of humor and generous nature. Jean was quick to forgive and those around her knew unconditional love. She was very funny, and always the life of the party. Her sense of humor was enjoyed by everyone. She was sharp right up to the end, and always happy to share her memories.
Jean is predeceased by her parents, husband Chester Przybycien, son Anthony Mercolino, daughters Regina and Denise Mercolino, brothers Raymond, Paul, and Johnny Chevalier, and her grandson John Mercolino. She is survived by her son Nick and his wife Liz Mercolino, son Mark Przybycien, daughter Pamela Przybycien, sister Rita Chevalier, 4 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
