Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home in Council Bluffs.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Malvern, IA. Burial will be in the Malvern Cemetery.

Memorials: Directed to the family
Jean was born on October 1, 1958 in Malvern, IA, the daughter of Robert Henry and Beverly Maye (Williams) Miller. She graduated from Malvern High School with the Class of 1977. Jean attended the Jennie Edmundson School of Nursing and Midland University where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Jean was a dedicated ICU nurse at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs for 42 years. She was very devoted to her job and always strived to provide exceptional care to her patients.
Jean enjoyed baking, crafting, and vacationing at Storm Lake. She raised her granddaughter Emily who was more like a daughter to her. Jean loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with them.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents.
Jean is survived by her sons, Michael (Chelsea) Richardson of Omaha and Matthew (Courtney) Richardson of Council Bluffs; grandchildren Aurora, Ethan, Ayden, Liam, Evan, Emily Stultz and Aliyah Kinart; brother Jim Miller; other relatives; and many special friends.

Jean and I worked together at a very young age.We worked on the psychiatric floor together. and then throughout our nursing career, we worked throughout the hospital together. We were friends before she was married and we ran into each other sometime ago at Mineola for dinner. We had some really good times seems to fly by fast.

So sorry to hear of Jean´s passing. I worked ICU with her for many years. She was always very professional and took excellent care of her patients. I always got a kick out of her wearing her nursing cap all the time. Hard to figure how she never got it tangled in all the wires and tubing.
I know she loved her family very much. She will be missed by many.
