Over the years, I have many fond memories of Aunt Jean. One that stands out was when Aunt Jean asked if the "Classymates" could use my deck, which over looks Narragansett Bay for their August get together. Since it worked out so well, they decided this would become an annual summer event. My understanding was that Aunt Jean was the organizer, and gave assignments to each of the ladies as to what foods to bring, desserts, and the necessary napkins and utensils. At the end of the luncheon, my job was to make the coffee and boil the water for tea so they could enjoy the desserts that they brought. From the smile on Aunt Jean's face, and the joyful gleam in her blue eyes, you could see she was enjoying the conversation and the true meaning of friendship. I suppose the "Classymates" that have passed on before her now have Aunt Jean to organize the next get together.
