Jean Reda Teglo

It is with heavy hearts that the Reda family announces the passing of Jean Reda Teglo, born May 13th, 1938, who departed from this world on March 2nd, 2025. Jean graduated from Sharon High School and moved around Mercer County before settling in Hermitage for the final decades of her life.
Jean was known for her unwavering kindness and friendship. Her passion for crafts and sewing was evident to all who knew her. As a small businesswoman, for many years Jean sold her creations out of her home and at craft shows. During the pandemic, she put her sewing skills to work and made face masks for medical workers. The dolls, blankets, and decorations she gifted to her family members will ensure a part of her always remains with her loved ones.
When not crafting, Jean enjoyed talking to and playing card games with her fellow residents at the Garden Way Apartments. For special occasions, she made pepperoni rolls and chocolate pies, her grandchildren's favorite foods.
She was a cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, and her memory will forever be held dear by all.
Jean is survived by her brother Jack Collins, daughter Karla Brennan (Dan), and sons Dan Reda (Barb) and Jim Reda (Angela). She was a proud grandmother to Matthew, Andy, Nicki, Jenna, James, Julie, and Joy. She was also blessed with four great granddaughters: Autumn, Maya, Josie, and Maisie. She is predeceased in death by her parents.
We would like to thank the many dedicated caregivers at Quality Life Services of Mercer for their kindness and support. We are also so very thankful for Jean's Hospice team who were there for us at every turn with their understanding and compassion.
