Mrs. Jean Welch White, 96, passed away Monday, October 28, 2024, at Bermuda Village. She was born September 4, 1928, in Yadkin County to the late Luther and Celia Norman Welch. Mrs. White was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She enjoyed flower gardening in her spare time. Preceding her in death was her husband, Millard Filmore White; four brothers; and two sisters. Surviving are her five children, Jimmy White, Judy Smith (Charles), Betty Hester, Barbara Lynch (Harry), and Luther White (Lola); 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Craddock officiating. Burial will follow at Baltimore Global Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
