Heather and grandchildren Patrick, Kristin, Maeghan, and Emily Biché. She grew up in Ellisburg, NY. While she was an only child, she had many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She loved to tell stories of their gatherings at holidays, birthdays, and sharing time together in the various seasons.
Graduating from Union Academy-Bellville Central School in 1955, Jean then attended SUNY Geneseo, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Library and Elementary Education in 1960. She was a member of Arethusa Sorority and kept in touch with her

well as a Hawaiian cruise. Off the water they took a train trip across Canada and travelled to Germany to see the Oberammergau Passion Play. Jean's happy place was "The Lake", their summer home in Henderson Harbor, NY. Here she enjoyed gardening, being on the water, and being close to family and friends from her younger years.

Dear Heather and Family, how sad to hear of Jean´s passing. She was a dear friend who kept in touch every Christmas even though we hadn´t seen each other for that year.

What fond memories I have of Christmas Eve in Caz when Fred, Jean, Heather, Chuck and I would have dinner together and then go to Christmas Eve Services.

Several summers we went up to their beautiful camp and enjoy drinks as we looked out over the water and experienced Jean´s fabulous meals (especially her Eggs Benedict at breakfast time).

Jean and I were such good friends at school where we collaborated on getting the kids using the computers and then teaching them to type. I even enjoyed pulling the cards from the card catalog in preparation for its demise. Jean got me special dispensation from monitoring study hall in order to do it.

After retirement, Chuck and I enjoyed spending time with Jean and Fred as we played golf and got to know the area around Pinehurst.

Jean and Fred both had great sense of humor. Once when they visited, they hid a pair of salt and pepper shakers when they left. From then on , it was a running joke as to where the shakers would be hidden when we or they visited.

I always admired Jean because she was such a hard worker. And usually with only a cup of tea to keep her going.

She dressed impeccably and I can still see her in her rhinestone hat racing down the highway in her Sebring convertible.

Farewell dear friend. Thanks for all the fun memories. You will be missed.

Love, Millie
