Jean Lynn Zaccheo

Jean Lynn (Cuneo) Zaccheo passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving children, Billy and Philip Zaccheo. Jean was born on February 5, 1940, in Oakland, California, to Dorothy (Lane) Cuneo and Vernon L. Cuneo.

She was a proud graduate of the Cornell University New York Hospital School of Nursing where she began a lifelong commitment to caring for others.

Jean and Philip F. Zaccheo were married on August 27, 1966, and together they raised two sons, Philip J. Zaccheo and Billy Zaccheo. The family made their home in Bronxville, New York, before settling in Mount Kisco, New York, where they lived for many happy years. Today, her family finds comfort in knowing she is reunited with her devoted husband.

In her later years, Jean resided at Heath Village in Hackettstown, New Jersey, where she enjoyed the companionship of her beloved cat, Tucker. She found great joy in the outdoors and in tending to her garden, and flowers always seemed to brighten her day. She will be remembered for her love of reading, her quick wit and lively sense of humor, and her deep and enduring love for her family and her kitties over the years-Pitschi and, later, Tucker.

Jean was predeceased by her husband, Philip F. Zaccheo, and her brother, Donald L. Cuneo. She is survived by her brother John (Mary Jane) Cuneo of Haverhill, Massachusetts; and sister-in-law Bonnie Cuneo, wife of her late brother Donald. She is also survived by her sons Philip J. (Kathleen) Zaccheo of Cicero, New York, and Billy (Sara) Zaccheo of Hackettstown, New Jersey; and her cherished grandchildren-Philip (Samantha), Evan, Hunter, and Maya-as well as her many nieces and nephews, who held a special place in her heart.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, November 17, 2025, at the Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel at Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, New York. Mass and burial will take place there.
