Jeanene Franco Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ammen Family Cremation & Funeral Care - Melbourne on Feb. 1, 2026.
Jeanene Caryl Franco, born May 19, 1944, in St. Louis, Missouri, passed away surrounded by the love of the family she devoted her life to. Her journey was one marked by resilience, adventure, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear.

On November 30, 1962, Jeanene married the love of her life, Tomas Franco Morales, in Omaha, Nebraska. Together they built a life defined by loyalty, partnership, and the unique rhythm of military service. As a proud and steadfast military spouse, Jeanene embraced a life of constant movement and new beginnings. She lived in Panama, Spain, and across the United States, creating a home wherever duty called. Whether in Nebraska, Florida, or abroad, she brought warmth, stability, and grace to every place she touched.

Jeanene is survived by her devoted husband, Tomas; her brother Johnny; and her sisters Linda (Wally) and Lavonne. She leaves behind her beloved children: Jeanette Peterson, Tom Franco, and Yvette Malizzi. She was the cherished grandmother of 12 grandchildren and the proud great grandmother of 18 great grandchildren, with one more blessing on the way.

To her family, Jeanene was the heart of every gathering and the quiet strength behind every milestone. She was a loving and faithful wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandma, and great grandma-roles she embraced with tenderness, humor, and a deep sense of purpose. Her legacy lives on in the generations she nurtured, the traditions she passed down, and the countless memories held close by those who loved her.

Jeanene's life was a testament to devotion-devotion to family, to service, and to the belief that love is something you show through action, sacrifice, and presence. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her steady support, and the way she made every person feel seen and valued.

Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at peace, and that her love continues to echo through every life she touched.
