Jeanette L. Christian, age 94, of Randolph, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025, at Marshfield Medical Center in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.
Jeanette was born on November 5, 1930, in Otsego, Wisconsin, the daughter of John and Lydia (Borde) Nintzel. In 1944, she was confirmed at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam and was a graduate of Beaver Dam High School, class of 1948. On October 4, 1952, Jeanette was united in marriage to Charles Christian, and together they worked diligently on the family farm alongside their son. In addition to her work on the farm, Jeanette spent many seasons working at Jungs Seed, contributing to the local community. She dedicated time to teaching Sunday school, sharing her faith and knowledge with the younger generation.
Gardening was one of Jeanette’s greatest joys, and she took pride in tending to her flowers and large vegetable garden. An animal lover, she had a special affection for cats. Jeanette was also an avid reader, often finding joy in the pages of a good book.
Jeanette is survived by her son, Steven Christian; grandchildren, Jennifer Jenkins and Jay (Bridgette) Jenkins; 4 great grandchildren, Summer Feil, Deanna Feil, Charles Jenkins and Brayden Haffele; and son-in-law, Steve Jenkins. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles in 2008; daughter, Debra Jenkins in 2022; parents; in-laws, Walter and Ella (Bahr) Christian; sisters, Evelyn (Harold) Stofflet, Gladys (Lee) Parker, Irene (Earl) Schroeder, and Violet (Howard) Burmeister; sisters-in-law, Margaret (Gilbert) Buntrock, Adeline (Ray) Schwandt and Eleanor Gestner.
