On April 3, 2025, Jeanette O’meara Tabor Hutchens of Beckley, WV passed away after a long illness at 73 years old. She was born January 10, 1952 in Hinton, WV to the late Vaden Ryan & Ernestine Meadows Tabor. She grew up in Ballengee, WV and graduated from Talcott High School.

Proceeding her in death are her parents and a sister, Carol “Sue” Allen. Her eldest daughter, Michelle Leigh Hutchens, also preceded her in death.

Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Trisha Yonekura of Chiba, Japan and her husband Hajime and Amanda Worthington of Oak Hill, WV and her husband Andrew. She is also survived by three grandchildren- Bailey and Sophie Yonekura of Chiba, Japan and Abbigail Worthington of Oak Hill, WV.

Additional survivors include her sister, Judy (Dennis) King of Roanoke, VA; brother, Vaden “Pete” Tabor of Ballengee, WV; brother, Warren Tabor of Talcott, WV; Dean (Anita) Tabor of Marie, WV; Gene (Cindy) Tabor of Marie, WV; Michael (Karla) Tabor of Marie, WV; Althea “Lynn” Tabor of Commerce, GA. She is also survived by her sister-in-law and close friend, Mary Lou (Don) Crum of Maryville, Tennessee.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 10 am to 12 pmat Calfee Funeral home. The funeral service will follow with Pastor Sam Groves officiating. Final resting place will be Oak Grove Cemetery in Ballengee, WV.

Son-in-law and nephews will serve as pall bearers.
