Jeanette "Peachie" Louise Knight, 84, of Sharpsburg, MD, passed away on Friday, November 14th, 2025, at Meritus Medical Center. She was surrounded by her dear family, who loved her beyond words.
Born Thursday, November 13th, 1941, in Trego, MD, she was the daughter of the late Arthur O. Getridge and the late Clara Mae (Callin) Getridge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delmas "Lonzo" Dean Knight.
Peachie attended Boonsboro High School. She was employed with Londontowne Mfg. in Boonsboro and later with the National Park Service as an Executive Assistant, where she retired. She was a member of the United Church of Christ Reformed in Sharpsburg, Amvets Post 10, and the Redmen Club of Williamsport.
She was an avid poker and shuffleboard player, a long-time Orioles and Raiders fan, and someone who loved puzzles, shopping, reading, traveling, and attending sporting events. She enjoyed hosting family and friends, and her warmth and quiet wisdom made everyone feel seen and loved. She always found joy in the simple moments-joking during card games, soaking up the sun at the beach, or telling stories that made everyone laugh. Generous to the core, she would help anyone without hesitation, and her quick wit, steady kindness, and habit of arriving early were part of her charm. Her home was always a place of comfort, with an endless supply of candy, a welcoming table, and a heart full of love.
1 Corinthians 13:7 "Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance."
She is survived by her daughters, Sandra S. (Robert) Christy Deborah L. (Kevin) May, Judith A. (Randy) Feaster, brother, Gary W. Getridge, grandchildren, Tara S. Kephart, Olivia M. (Blaine) Morris, Sarah E. (Robbie) Houck, Jakob A. Feaster, and Emily K. Snellings (Connor Whalen), great grandchild, Benjamin Alexander, special nephews, Curt D.
