Graveside Services Friday 11:00 AM Sulligent City Cemetery The family will receive friends after the graveside service at Beaverton Baptist Church 350 Sizemore Street Beaverton Alabama Jeanette Scott Norwood age 63 of Fayette, AL passed away Friday, July 18, 2025 at her residence. Born September 24, 1961 in Amory, MS, she is the daughter of the late Herbert and Betty Davidson Scott. She was a 1979 graduate of Sulligent High School. She attended nursing school at the Mississippi University for Women. After working as a Registered Nurse for several years she attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where she completed her education to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Jeanette loved spending time with her family and being outdoors whether it be gardening, fishing or working on a project. If she didn't know how to repair something you could find her on YouTube searching for instructional videos to do repairs. She also had a knack for cooking and always looked forward to trying a new recipe with her family. Jeanette was a caregiver even outside of the hallways of a hospital, she helped care for many family members throughout the years. She is survived by a Daughter, Julie Hales (Daniel) , Sons, Scott Norwood and Jeff Norwood (Heather), Grandchildren, Maddox, Maelie, Ellison and Alden, a Brother, Wade Scott, an Aunt, Jane Davidson, Niece, Robin Cagle (Nick) and a Nephew, Taylor Scott (Jennifer). Graveside Services held Friday, July 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM from the Sulligent City Cemetery with Bro. Steven Sanderson and Bro. Jeff Chaffin officiating. Veal Memorial Funeral Home of Sulligent, AL directing.
