Jeanette (Hopkins) Prescott
3/21/1939 - 10/29/2025
“Grieve not… nor speak of me with tears… but rather, speak with laughter and talk as if I am still here.” Jeanette was a beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, and a cowgirl at heart.
She is predeceased by her parents Phillip and Hattie. Her siblings Norma, Phillip, Everette, Elliott, Harley, and Bobby. Her children Marie, Kevin and Randy.
She leaves behind her son Clyde, daughter Bobbi and husband Jason. Her Granddaughter’s Jessica and husband Michael, Rachael and husband Kyle. Grandson’s Brain and Jeffery. Great Grandchildren Izayah, Makenzie, Harrison, Lincoln and Reevin.
Grammie’s spirit will forever live on through the countless handmade knitted hats, scarves, mittens, and sweaters. In her bread, cake, and cookie recipes passed down. Whenever the sound of a country song, or old western fills the air, we will know her light is shining down on us.
The sun rose and set on her grandchildren. She loved them beyond words. Grammie lived for the special moments with them, and when she started slowing down, lived vicariously through the moments she missed.
Her loss leaves a hole in our hearts, but we will forever tell “Grammie stories,” and laugh, and reminisce with her simple beauty of life.
Her memory will be cherished forever. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no public services. Her family will hold a private burial at a later date.
