Big Stone Gap, VA – Jeanette Shupe Quillin, 83, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025 at Ridgecrest Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation, Duffield, VA. She was a lifelong resident of Big Stone Gap, VA and worked for the former Wachovia Bank in Big Stone Gap. She loved her family and took great care in her grandchildren. She was a member of Big Springs Baptist Church in the Crackers Neck Community.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, John Quillin; parents, Bill and Mamie (Lane) Shupe; brother, William D. "Inky" Shupe and two infant siblings, Gary and Lois.
Jeanette is survived by her children, Jennifer Garrison (Tracy) and Mark Quillin (Gina), of Big Stone Gap; grandchildren, Trey Garrison (Amber), Tyler Garrison (Brittany), Noah Garrison (Kaitlyn Cox), Lauren Quillin, Breana Fielder, Hollie Oswalt (James), Landon Fielder (Gabby), Kaleb Fielder and Rachel Quillin; great-grandchildren, Sadie, Boone, Jesse, Conley and Josie and several nieces and nephews.
The graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 1:00pm in Glencoe Cemetery. Pastor Enos Gingrich will be ministering. Family and friends are asked to assemble at Gilliam Funeral Home, 618 Wood Ave. W., Big Stone Gap, VA to leave at 12:40 to go in procession to the cemetery.
