Jeanette White Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Green Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery - Sapulpa on Mar. 24, 2026.
Jeanette Dolores (Hugill) White, age 90, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 21, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on May 11, 1935, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Paul Sr. and Ruby Hugill.

Jeanette gave her life to the Lord as a young child, and from that moment on her faith became the foundation of who she was. Her kindness, humility, and gentle spirit reflected the Savior she loved so dearly. She lived her faith quietly but powerfully, offering unconditional love to everyone she met.

Jeanette graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1953. Her life changed forever on July 16, 1967, when she met the love of her life, Clifford White, through the Rev. W.H. Johnson. Their bond was immediate and they were married on December 1, 1967, beginning a love story rooted in faith, devotion, and deep companionship. For more than 40 years, they walked hand in hand through life until Clifford's passing in 2008. Clifford affectionately called Jeanette his "princess," and to her, he was always her Prince Charming. Their love was tender, steadfast, and enduring-a love that never faded, even in his absence.

Jeanette worked for more than 30 years in Claims Administration in the insurance industry, serving with the same diligence and integrity that defined her personal life. Outside of work, she was an avid basketball fan, cheering for both the OKC Thunder and her hometown the Indiana Pacers. She and Clifford spent many seasons also enjoying ORU games and Driller's baseball together.

She loved to travel, especially to Clearwater Beach, Florida, where she and Clifford returned time and time again. After his passing, she continued to travel with her beloved aunt Linda, whom she loved like a second sister. She also cherished her visits to Phoenix to spend time with her sister Jane and extended family. Jeanette also remained close to extended family in Indianapolis, where her roots began.

More than 20 years ago, Jeanette and Clifford became members of West Tulsa Free Will Baptist Church, where she formed lifelong friendships with Tawna and Barbara. Sundays filled with worship, lunch, and spirited games of Farkle and dominoes were among her happiest times. In her later years, when she was able to attend, being in church was the highlight of her week.

Jeanette's personality was gentle, kind, and steady. She found comfort in order and liked things in their place. She never let her family leave without a hug and an "I love you," making sure love was always the last word spoken.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents Paul Sr. and Ruby Hugill, and her husband Clifford.

She is survived by her sister Jane, daughters Stephanie and Rebecca, her son in law Ron, her grandchildren (her pride and joys) Katie and her husband Anthony, Alex, and Abbie, along with extended family in Phoenix and Indianapolis.

Jeanette lived 90 beautiful years on this earth, touching countless lives with her warmth, faith, and gentle spirit. Though she is now in her eternal home, she will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
