JEANINE GLADYS BAILIFF
November 17, 1931 ˜ March 18, 2025
Jeanine Gladys Bailiff passed away in her sleep on March 18, 2025 just as she wanted to.
She was the only child of Hyrum and Gladys Martinell born in Bozeman, MT. She later moved to Butte and graduated from Butte High School in 1949. She went on to Graduate from Montana State University with a BS Degree in Nursing. In 1954 just after graduation she married Benny Bailiff whom she met in Junior High School in Vancouver, WA, when her parents moved there for a few years to work in the Kaiser Shipyards.
Her career as a Nurse was very rewarding. It took her all the way to the Director of Nursing position at the former Vancouver Memorial and St Joseph’s Hospitals in Vancouver. She also went on to be the Director of Fort Vancouver Convalescent Center and QA Nurse for Kimberly Quality Care and retired in 1992.
Her many activities so enjoyed were bowling, bunco, genealogy and scrap booking for her Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ben in 1997. She will be missed by her son Curt, her daughters Leanne(Dave) and Janelle(Rich). Grandchildren Jordan(Haley) and Kelsy and Great grandchildren Henlee, Lewis and Walker.
She would love it if you chose to donate to Southwest Washington Humane Society in her name as she loved her many dogs.
We will celebrate her life later this summer on Saturday Aug. 9, at Hazel Dell Community Park at 1 p.m. Please join us to share stories with us.
