Jeanine Beaton Obituary

Jeanine Marie (Riette) Beaton, 84, of Wrentham, MA passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025, at the Alliance Health at Maples in Wrentham, MA peacefully following a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of Joseph Francis Beaton to whom she was married on December 28, 1963.

Born in Brookline, MA on September 15, 1941, she was a daughter of the late John C. Riette and the late Nora (Dubay) Riette. Raised and educated in her native community of Brookline, she was a graduate of St. Aidan's High School and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in French education from Emmanuel College in Boston, MA.

She was proud of her French heritage and celebrated it with the French language, culture and cuisine.

Beginning in the early 1970s she started her employment with the Canton Department of Education as a French teacher at the Canton High School. She served the high school for more than 25 years where she was responsible for the French Exchange program for more than 20 years.

Remembered for her grace and elegance and love for entertaining, she was like a "Martha Stewart" serving her family and friends as a creative hostess and always saying "Bon Appetit everyone" before every meal regardless of what was being served.

She will lovingly be remembered for her love for reading, her knowledge and love of current events and her fondness for gardening.

Prior to moving to Wrentham a few years ago, she and her husband resided in North Attleboro, Mansfield and Norton, MA.

An ardent traveler, she and her husband enjoyed traveling extensively throughout the United States with Galveston, Texas and the National Parks being favorites and international travel with, of course, France as a special place to visit.

Some of her favorite pastimes included time with her feline companions and going to Horseneck Beach in Westport, MA.

However, her truest happiness came from creating lifelong memories to cherish with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband of almost 62 years, she leaves her daughter: Susanne A. Warrener and Robert E. Lee of Providence, RI; a son: Douglas R. Beaton and his wife, Amy K. Beaton, of Hampton Beach, NH; her cherished grandchildren to whom she was known as "Kiki": Justin A. Warrener and his wife, Katrina Warrener; Andrew J. Warrener and his fiancé, Victoria Blessing and Annabelle Beaton; her niece: Jeanine Reed and several extended family members and friends.

She was the mother-in-law of the late Paul K. Warrener; paternal grandmother of her late grandson - Jack Beaton and sister of the late Susanne M. Riette-Keith.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Celebration of Her Life by attending Visitation on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA followed by a celebratory service at 3:00 pm immediately at the conclusion of visitation in the "Memorial Chapel".

Private burial will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025, at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.

Aligned with Mrs. Beaton's personality, all are encouraged to wear bright, happy colors.

Flowers are accepted as she loved them or memorial donations may be made to Connor's Climb Foundation, PO Box 283, Exeter, NH 03833.

Jeanine and I met in eighth grade in 1954 at Saint Aidan's School and remained close friends to the present day despite living in different cities. I was so blessed to have her and her beautiful family in my life. I feel so saddened and will hold her always in my heart.
