Jeanine Frash, age 86, of Grove City, Ohio, passed away on March 10, 2025. Born on April 19, 1938, to the late Albert Callihan and Bonita (Darling) Callihan in Roseville, Ohio, Jeanine grew up surrounded by family values that would guide her throughout her life. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Roseville, Ohio.
She is preceded in death not only by her beloved parents but also by her dear daughter, Lisa Frash, whose absence leaves an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Jeanine is also reunited in spirit with her siblings: Richard (Pat) Callihan, Robert (Harriet) Callihan, Rosemary (Dick) McConnell, William (Becky) Callihan, and Mickey (Bob) Jackson. Together, they created a tapestry of family unity that will be dearly missed.
Jeanine is lovingly survived by her devoted husband of 68 remarkable years, Kenton Frash. Their bond was a testament to enduring love, and together they crafted a life full of joyful moments. She is also survived by her daughter, Jenifer Miller, and her grandchildren, Callie (Dave) Tipple and Jamie (Raven) Miller, and her great-grandchildren, Reese, Jack, and Finley.
A retired employee of Columbus Public Schools, Jeanine dedicated many years to her work as an Educational Aid and Librarian, shaping young minds and sharing the joy of learning with countless children. Her passion for education was matched only by her love for leisure activities, including a long-standing tradition of playing Euchre with a special group of friends for over fifty years—an activity that brought endless joy and camaraderie into her life. She was a long-time member of The Order of the Eastern Stars, Olive Branch Chapter.
In retirement, Jeanine and Kenton made beautiful memories at their home on Lake Erie Islands, a place where the beauty of nature, fishing, and boating enriched their lives. It was here that they shared a tranquil and fulfilling life, enjoying each other’s company amidst breathtaking landscapes.
Family and friends are invited to honor Jeanine’s life at a Graveside Service on Monday, March 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Grove City Cemetery East, located at 3605 Grove City Rd, Grove City, Ohio 43123. This gathering will provide an opportunity to celebrate her life and share stories.
