Jeanine C. Larson

Jeanine C. Larson, 89, of Rockford passed away on March 26, 2022. Born September 18, 1932 in Rockford, the daughter of Richard & Evelyn (Anderson) Youngberg. Graduated from East High School, class of 1950. She married Robert "Bob" Larson of Rockford on November 28, 1952 at her family home on Vale Avenue. Together they were the proud parents of five children. Jeanine's greatest joy was her family, her home was an open door and a welcome refuge to all. There were countless family gatherings around the pool as she captured the laughter and joy of being together with her always present camera in hand. She loved scenic drives, Lake Geneva and especially loved adventures in Door County in the parks and on the waters of Lake Michigan and Green Bay with her husband Bob. Jeanine had a great interest in people, always a listener, and fascinated by everyone she got to know. She was compassionate, generous and kind. Our mom was a perfect example to us of how to live and love. She will be greatly missed, but always in our hearts.

Survivors include children, Tom(Denise) Larson, Bill (LaRae) Larson, Mike (Kami) Larson, Joan (John) O'Malley, Lynette (Todd) Spears; grandchildren, Beth (Ryan), Erica (Mark), Kari (Kane), Zac, Alex, Kellen (Dani), Brett, Annie, Tory (April), Tyler and Trevor; 9 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; siblings, Sue Williams and Ross Youngberg. Predeceased by parents, husband, Robert D. Larson, and cherished nephew, John Williams. A celebration of her life will be held later this summer.
