Jeanne Myers Obituary

Jeanne M. Myers, age 91 of Appleton, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at ThedaCare in Appleton. Jeanne was born on November 3, 1933 in Medina to the late Wesley and Amanda (Leppla) LaFortune. She married John Myers on June 27, 1953 and they were married 72 years! Jeanne enjoyed gardening, painting, drawing, baking, music, creative writing and spending time at the cottage. She enjoyed making big Holiday dinners and hosting birthday and anniversary parties. Jeanne was the chairman of the Hortonville High School Class of 1952, reunion committee for the 1992 reunion. She served for church bizarre lunches and as a deaconess/alter guild for nearly 9 years.

Jeanne is survived by her husband, John; children, John (Wendy) Myers, Chuck Myers, Judi (Richard) Kuether, Vicki (Kelly) Passineau, and Cherri Schultz; grandchildren, Andy (Katie), Amanda, Robert, Tyler (Megan) and Katie and 3 great granddaughters. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Jeanne was preceded in death by her brother, Duane LaFortune and sister, Joanne Wolf.

The Funeral Service for Jeanne will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2025 at Zion United Church of Christ, Dale, WI with Pastor Lori Lossie officiating. The visitation will take place from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Dale Union Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Kimberly Berg and the ICU staff at ThedaCare Appleton.
