Jeanne Marie Radmacher, 88, of Topeka, Kansas passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024, under the loving care of Aldersgate Village and Interim Hospice.
Jeanne was born November 7, 1935, in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Herman and Elizabeth Streck Powell. She graduated from Bishop Ward High School in Kansas City, Kansas in 1953.
On May 18, 1957, she was united in marriage to John O. "Jack" Radmacher in Kansas City, Kansas. They moved to Topeka in 1974. Jeanne was employed by the Kansas State Legislature in the Document Room at the Kansas State Capitol and the Menninger Foundation. She was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Church. In her spare time, Jeanne enjoyed golfing. She also enjoyed traveling in the U.S. and abroad. But she enjoyed spending time with her family most of all.
Survivors include her children, Nancy (Mark) Gorton of Topeka, Jane (Dan) Reppuhn of Topeka, and John "Ted" (Michelle) Radmacher of Lawrence; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Jack, on February 19, 1998; and her sisters, Joanne Wesselmann and Patricia Coughlin.
Rosary will be prayed at 5 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614, where visitation will follow until 7 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, October 18, 2024, at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 3601 SW 17th Street, Topeka KS 66604. Burial to follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Interim Hospice and sent in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to www.kevinbrennanfamily.com
