Jeanne Therese St. Marie, 89, of Cumberland, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 13, 2025.
Born August 5th, 1935, in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Lionel Beaudoin and the late Florida (Jusseaume) Beaudoin. In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her husband of 53 years, Louis P. St. Marie Jr.; sons, Louis P. St. Marie III. Jean "Johnny" M. St. Marie and an infant son, Dennis St. Marie; daughter, Jeannine St. Marie McCutcheon; and a grandson, Timothy St. Marie.
Jeanne and her husband started Au Petit Paris Restaurant in Amarillo, Texas. At the sudden death of their infant son Dennis, the St. Marie's came to Maryland in 1959 to reestablish Au Petit Paris by invitation of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Jenkins of Frostburg. She was born to be in the restaurant business and loved the people.
She was a member of Divine Mercy, St. Michaels Parish, where she sung in the choir. She was also a member of the former Maplehurst Country Club
One of Jeanne's wishes was to see her great granddaughter, Lea, graduate High School. Due to covid restrictions that were implemented, she was unable. However, she surpassed that and was able to see Lea graduate from college, twice. Also to see her great granddaughter, Kenzi, start her High school career.
Surviving are her grandchildren, Andrea St. Marie and fiancé Clarence Hale and her children, Brandon Custer and wife Sophie, Lea Custer and fiancé Michael Durst, Kenzi Carder and the late, Abba Hale; Son-in-law, Ray McCutcheon.
Jeanne was cremated in accordance with her wishes and there will be no services.
