Jeannette M. Biechy, 91, of Plainfield Township, passed away peacefully while in the love and care of her family on Friday, December 27, 2024, at St. Luke's Hospital - Anderson Campus in Bethlehem Township. She was the wife of the late Clayton C. Biechy, Sr. with whom she shared 64 beautiful years of marriage before his passing in 2018.
Born in East Stroudsburg, Jeannette was a daughter of the late Henry and Gladys B. (Lobb) Hoffner. After attending high school, she embarked on a career in the garment industry which spanned 40 years before retiring in 1994 from the former Valerie Fashions in Wind Gap. Jeannette was a member of the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union, the Order of the Eastern Star Calypso Chapter No. 163, Bethlehem, and St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Plainfield. Jeannette and her husband shared many enjoyable trips and wonderful memories of traveling throughout the years. In addition to traveling, she enjoyed gardening.
Survivors: Jeannette will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her children, William L. Biechy and wife, Madelyn, of Easton, Carl T. Biechy and fiancee, Lois Stasak, of Saylorsburg, Janet M. DelVecchia and husband, Al, of Shohola, and Linda S. Malloy and husband, James, of Pennsburg; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Jeremiah Hoffner and wife, Michele, of Martins Creek; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Clayton, she was predeceased by a son, Clayton C. Biechy, Jr.; four brothers; and seven sisters.
Services: A Graveside Service will be held privately with the family at Plainfield Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, INC., in the Village of Moorestown - Bath. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at: bensingfuneralhome.net.
Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
