Jeffrey Wayne Bonner, 63, passed from this life, Saturday January 17, 2026 in Omaha, NE after a long hard fought battle with cancer.

Jeff grew up in Floris, graduating from Davis County High School in 1981. Jeff enjoyed sports, playing baseball, basketball, football, and wrestling.

Jeff attended Floris Baptist Church where he was baptized as a young boy.

He began working for Hormel Foods at 19 in Ottumwa, IA, moving with them to Fremont, NE. Then to Wichita. KS to be a Supervisor where he got his Bachelors degree. Finally, transferring to Osceola, IA where he retired after 35 years with the company.

He ventured into a new career with Select Genetics as a Hatchery Manager, where he was currently employed. He really enjoyed his job.

While in Fremont, Jeff had 2 kids, Jeremv and Amber. He also enjoyed bowling, and his team were league city champs.

In Osceola, Jeff met his soul mate, marrying Jennifer Lawrence on August 6, 2015 building a beautiful life together. After his first retirement, they traveled and had many great adventures.

He loved riding his Harley with his riding buddy and father-in-law Danny Lawrence. Jeff also enjoyed going to dirt track races with his brother JD.

He was preceded in death by his dad, mom, and his son Jeremy.

His is survived by his wife Jennifer of Osceola, daughter Amber, step son Jacob Fairley of Osceola, brothers Jason (Susie) Bonner of Floris, JD (Jennifer) Bonner of Bloomfield, nephew Jesse Bonner Jr. of Bloomfield, sister-in-law Christina Lawrence of Osceola, sister-in-law Melinda (Chris) Wilson of Winterset, parents-in-law Danny and Dorothy Lawrence of Osceola, aunt Marilyn Lough of Cedar Rapids, uncle Richard Closser of Floris, as well as nieces, nephews cousins, and grandkids.

Jeff made friends everywhere he went. His fun, outgoing personality and joking nature drew people to him. He will be greatly missed.

Jeff's family will greet friends at a visitation at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, IA from 3:00 pm -6:00 pm on Saturday January 24, 2026. Online condolences may be directed to the family at www.kalefuneralhome.com
