Jeffery "Jeff" Collier 67, loving husband, father and papaw went to be with our Jesus on February 2, 2025. He was surrounded by the love of his family. Jeff, a.k.a. Fry, was born on February 10,1957 in Tipton, Indiana. Jeff's faith guided him throughout his life. And he choose to lead by example.
Jeff attended Lawrence North High School and after graduation he enlisted in the US Navy. His basic training took place in Moffett Field, California. He was enlisted from 1975 to 1979 where he was discharged honorably. Jeff took great pride in being a dedicated box truck driver. He delivered medical supplies to nursing homes. He had elderly ladies that were his girlfriends at each facilities.
Jeff's greatest joy came from spending time as a "papaw". Actually he was fondly called by the grandkids " the papaw you love to hate." He always made them toe the line. Helping with the church's yearly plays, fishing, gardening, grandkids homework, canning and spending time with his family were part of his other passions. The family has memories of the wonderful chili he made. He made a pot of it to suit everybodies liking's. His short lived life will be cherished by his wife, children and grandchildren. Our hearts are deeply broken by his untimely death. Please pray for our family.
A celebration of Jeff's life will be February 12th. Sharing your love with the family will take place from 1p to 3pm with services to follow.
