With great sadness that the family of Jeff Edwards, age 66, announces that he passed away on July 11, 2025. A resident of Wilmington, Delaware, Jeff graduated from Dickinson High School in 1977. He retired after 25+ years from Baker Jeep Eagle, as the Parts Manager in 2007. Jeff was widely known for his smile, humorous nature and the ability to fix anything. His most favorite times were spent with family and friends, as well as travelling in the family RV to many places in Florida as well as Gatlinburg, Memphis, Nashville, and Ocean City, Maryland. He was an avid fisherman, and loved to kayak and grill.
Jeff is survived by his wife of 27 years, Cathleen; his son, Jeffrey Edwards (Charlotte); his father, James Woods; his sister, Dianna Deaton (Scott); his brothers, James Woods (Maryann) and Robert Woods (Jessica); sisters-in-law, Colleen Baber (Kevin), Carolyn Banas (Dennis) and Joanne McVeigh; his aunt, Linda Brooks (Steve); and his cousins, Webb Crew (Brenda), Donald Crew (Allison), David Crew, Kathy Bowers (Randy), Michele Triplett (Israel) Cherie Krebs and Tom Edwards (Joanne) and many nieces and nephews.
Jeff was predeceased by his parents, Sheldon and Geraldine Edwards; his stepmother, Nancy Edwards; his mother-in-law, Martha McVeigh; and his brothers-in-law, Charles McVeigh and Christopher McVeigh.
Burial services will be private.
