Jeffrey Wendell McCunn left this life on 23rd June 2023 in
Incline Village, Nevada. His death was sudden and inexplicable leaving his family and friends waiting for explanations from the authorities.
Jeff was born 17th October 1968 to Donna Murphy and Ronald McCunn. He was the youngest and only boy among his sisters Robin McCunn, Brenda Bonderud, Maureen Margrie and Mary O'Brien. Ronald predeceased Jeff in 2022.
Jeff cherished his four daughters, Victoria McCunn, Chandler Jordan, Devon McCunn and Savannah McCunn, two grandsons Rowan Hinkle and Redford Jordan. He is also survived by his a step mother, Deanna Jensen, and step brother, Brian Gove.
Jeff grew up in Clarinda and following graduation from high school attended Simpson College where he was captain of the Simpson football team and a Sigma Epsilon fraternity brother. Jeff was a talented individual achieving high athletic and scholarly honors which he carried into his postgraduate financial career building successful portfolios, leading divisions and ultimately creating Investor Funding Capital. His athleticism and love of a good competition led him to becoming a lifelong golfer.
Jeff had many loving friends he made from early in his childhood to his last day. He was known for long conversations and always made time for a good chat. Jeff was a conduit of love and connection between those in his life. He felt privileged to receive the love, support and friendship that was offered.
Jeff had a life filled with boundless energy, unyielding love, and unwavering loyalty. He often used humor, sometimes at his own expense, to put people at ease. There are numerous joyous memories of Jeff filled with love, laughter, singing, dancing, and competing.
Jeff was a beloved son, brother, father and friend who will be greatly missed. His family and friends feel privileged to that he was a large part of their lives.
A private service will be held by his friends and family to celebrate his life.
