Jeffery Gable Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tom M. Wages Funeral Service - Lawrenceville on Jan. 2, 2026.
Jeffrey Gable, age 50, of Hoschton, GA passed away unexpectedly in his home on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
The son of Randy and Nancy Gable of Crossville, TN, formally Napoleon, OH. He was born May 4,1975. He and Emily Wilhelm, daughter of Roy and Martha Wilhelm of Fremont, Ohio were married October 14, 2000.
Jeff was a graduate of Napoleon High School and the University of Toledo, where he and Emily met. He worked in the insurance industry in Missouri, Ohio and Georgia. He most recently was employed at Yates insurance as a Vice President of commercial lines.
Jeff was the kind of person whose presence made life feel a little steadier and a lot more joyful. He was a devoted husband, father, son and brother and a loyal friend-someone who showed up fully for the people he loved and did so with quiet strength and a generous heart.
At the center of Jeff's world was his family. He and his wife, Emily, shared 25 years of marriage built on love, laughter, and unwavering support. Their partnership was a true reflection of devotion and friendship. Jeff loved Emily deeply and protected her in the way only someone who truly understands love can-steadily, faithfully, and without hesitation. Together they built a life rooted in trust, care, and genuine joy. Jeff was endlessly proud of his daughters, Megan and Jenna. Being their dad was his greatest honor. He supported them in everything they did- cheering from the sidelines, coaching from the field, celebrating their achievements, and showing up in the everyday moments that mattered most. All he ever wanted was for them to grow into strong, intelligent, and loving women, and everything he did was guided by that purpose. His love for his girls was constant, fierce, and unconditional.
An excellent golfer, Jeff found joy on the course, where he built lifelong friendships and shared countless laughs. Golf was more than a game to him-it was a place of connection, camaraderie, and stories that grew better with every retelling.
And when it came to football, Jeff's loyalty never wavered. A devoted Michigan Wolverines fan, he brought passion, humor, and unmistakable enthusiasm to every game day. Whether cheering, debating plays, or simply enjoying the company, he made those moments richer for everyone around him.
Jeff was a brother to many. He was the kind of person you could sit beside on the couch, laugh about anything with, or talk to when life felt heavy. He listened without judgment, offered comfort without conditions, and made people feel safe simply by being present.
Those who knew Jeff will remember his steady presence, kind heart, and the way he made people feel welcomed, understood, and valued. His legacy lives on through the love he gave, the family he cherished, and the countless lives he touched. He is survived by his wife Emily, daughters Megan and Jenna, his parents Randy and Nancy, sisters Christi (Mark Robeson) Gable, Carrie (Jason) Reichert, and brother Bradley (Laura) Gable and in-laws Roy and Martha, Ken (Laura) Wilhelm, Amy (Jim) Schaeffer, Ryan (Meredith) Wilhelm, and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
A Celebration of Life for Jeffrey will be held Sunday, January 11, 2026 at 3:00PM. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 10th from 3:30PM until 6:30PM. All services will be held at Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church, 1450 Pine Road, Dacula, GA 30019.
Jeff had such a passion for helping kids, in lieu of flowers, make a donation to an organization that promotes kids' physical, emotional or spiritual development in the area where you live.

Jeff was so much more than a colleague to me; he was a dear friend and a true partner in our work. Having worked side-by-side with him for many years, he will be deeply missed. He was a constant source of positivity, always ready with a smile and a helping hand. He was the first to offer help and always had my back. He was a wonderful professional and an even better friend. I will miss him dearly. My heart goes out to his family during this incredibly difficult time. My deepest condolences -he spoke of you often and with such love.
