Jeffery "Jeff" Noal Wankier

LOLO ~ Jeffery (Jeff) Noal Wankier, 66, the only child of Weldon and Marilyn Wankier, passed away in Missoula, Montana on August 29, 2025 due to complications following what was to have been a relatively simple robotic surgery.

Jeff grew up in Corona del Mar, CA. He was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout. He graduated from Corona del Mar High School where he participated in track, sailing and surfing. He enjoyed camping trips and big game hunting with his Dad. Jeff attended The University of Utah and graduated from The University of Montana.

While at the University of Montana he met and married Patricia (Pat) Matye. They were happily married for 38 years and lived in Lolo, Montana. During this time Jeff was employed by Alpine Log Homes in Victor, MT. where he designed log homes. He loved playing his guitars and tending his beautiful yard and orchard. Jeff enjoyed nothing more than fly fishing.

Jeff is survived by his parents, Weldon and Marilyn Wankier, of Sun Valley,ID, his Aunt Marcia Pine of Palm Desert, CA. and seven cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife Pat.

Jeff was a kind, good man.
