Funeral Services for Mr. Jeffery Jerome Phillips will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Peoples Funeral Home Chapel, 886 North FarishStreet, Jackson, Mississippi. His Final Resting Place will be Private.

Jeffery Jerome Phillips, a beloved father, brother, and friend was born on October 15, 1970, to Ceola and Preston Phillips in Jackson, Mississippi.

Jeffery is a proud product of Jackson Public Schools. He graduated from Murrah High School, where he formed lifelong friendships and built the foundation for a life of service and hard work. Following graduation, he answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Army. His time in the Army reflected his strong sense of duty, discipline, and commitment.

Fluent in Spanish, his bilingual abilities became a defining strength in his professional journey. His gift for language allowed him to connect with people from all walks of life and shaped a successful career, including his work with Comcast and other organizations. He was respected not only for his professionalism but also for his ability to make others feel seen and understood.

He was an avid jogger. It was an activity that he truly enjoyed. He entered and placed in several cross-country marathons.

Jeffery loved traveling abroad. It was his goal to travel to as many countries as possible. Among those he visited were France, Spain, England, and Italy. He shared trips with Jalen to the Philippines, Thailand, Colombia, and Singapore.

Above all, he was a devoted father. His greatest joy was his children, whom he cherished deeply. He delighted in giving each of them a special nickname, a reflection of the personal bond he shared with them and the immense pride he carried in his heart. His love for them was constant, generous, and unconditional.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Melvin, Deborah, Preston, Jr., and Stanley whom he now joins in eternal rest.

Though his earthly presence is gone, his legacy lives on in his children and in the many lives he touched through his kindness, strength, and steadfast love. He leaves to cherish his life and legacy, sons: Jeffery Jerome Phillips, II, and Jalen Phillips; daughters: Kailyn Phillips and Erin Phillips; stepdaughter, Kierra Arceneaux; siblings: Carolyn Phillips, RosaMary Phillips, Marilyn, Theresa, Curtis Phillips, and MacArthur (Paula) Washington; six grandchildren; and a host of nieces, a nephew, and friends. Alicia Phillips, the former wife and mother of three of his children, and a supportive friend.
