Jeffery Randall Torbitt, age 62, of
Valparaiso, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at his Valparaiso home. He was born on November 14, 1961, in
Hammond, Indiana, to Lowell Torbitt and Sandra (Charlson) Blixt.
Jeffery is survived by his daughter, Kyla Torbitt of
Portage, Michigan; mother, Sandra (Randall) Blixt, of
Bonita Springs, Florida; granddaughter, Freya Hahe; four siblings, Wendy (Matthew) Hubele of
Martinsville, Indiana, Lowell (Laura) Torbitt of
DeMotte, Indiana, Ellen Duncan of
Cincinnati, Ohio, and James "Jim" (Cheryl Lemanski) Allgire of
Coconut Creek, Florida;. He was preceded in death by his father.
Jeffery graduated from Highland High School with the class of 1979. He worked in his family's pest control company for 25 years and finished his career as a high performer at Orkin Pest control. Jeffery was known for his sense of humor and will be greatly missed by all those who knew him. In his spare time, he enjoyed music, playing piano, and creating music.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. at Edmonds & Evans Portage, 6941 Central Avenue,
