Jeffrey 'Charlie' Acre, 71, of Lower Burrell, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2025, while snow birding in Myrtle Beach, SC. He was born in New Kensington on Sept. 21, 1953, to the late Carl W. and Lois G. Field Acre and had been a lifelong resident of the local area. Mr. Acre was a 1973 graduate of Burrell High School and worked in maintenance for Burrell High School for 27 years. He had also worked as a mechanic for Eddie's Sunoco for ten years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and spending time at his camp in Jefferson County. Jeff was a jack of all trades and loved helping others whenever he could. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Diana Tutak Acre; children, Brittney Acre of Lower Burrell and Joshua (Nicole) Acre of Natrona Heights; granddaughter, Maria Matrascia; sisters, Lois Kay Acre of Lower Burrell, Patricia (Dr. Norbert) Ming of Orlando, FL, Jacqueline Westerman of New Kensington, and Sheila (Jeffrey) Brunner of Allegheny Township; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kylee Jo Acre; brother-in-law, Thomas Westerman; and mother and father-in-law, Bertha and Joseph Tutak. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, at THE RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road at Alder St., where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, by Rev. Dean Ward. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Lower Burrell.
