Jeff, you will be missed at St. Paul´s. Your lighthearted disposition and creativity was a major part of what you did with the choir every Sunday. I especially loved when you sang the Divine Mercy. The harmony was so angelic sounding. You have been such an integral part of our mass. I will especially miss your sense of humor. RIP Nancy Witz

I´ll miss you, Cuz, we knew each other all our life since we were the same age. I remember the beginning when life was so simple, and our families were intact, it meant so much to see how much you were loved in all the comments and tributes. You lived your life surrounded the family that loved you when you loved and I think that is the most important thing. I so wish that you had the opportunity to visit us at the farm. I can´t find my child album but as soon as I do, I´ll be posting pictures of us that most everyone doesn´t even know about cause we were so young. Love you.

I'm so shocked, saddened and heartbroken to hear of Jeff's sudden passing! Cheryl (I promised this post at the wake), he and I go back to the few years on both sides of their marriage and connecting at church. As I still recall Cheryl's voice (as "Lamb of God and "Diamonds and Pearls" and others), I dare not forget Jeff's trademark smile (embrace it!) and incredible keyboard versatility, his ability to play the same score in diverse genres, including my fave of '50's-'60's rock 'n' roll. To Cheryl and family/friends, stay strong despite the loss. Do not let go of the memories and, above all, heed Martha's inspiration in dealing with her brother Lazarus in John 11. That has been my "solid rock" in facing the losses of family/friends over the years. May "God be with you" to continue the journey "'til we meet again"! I lift you all up in prayer, thanking Him for making our fellowship possible.

I loved Jeff Batter. In recent days, reading all the tributes that have poured in from all corners of the globe, he was described very aptly as a "musician's musician". I consider myself honored to have shared many stages with him in 2009-2010 as part of the live band for Deanna Mitchell. Jeff was the consummate professional - and an even better friend / bandmate. He always showed me love and respect as part of the band. My deepest sympathies to his wife, daughter, grandkids, extended family and friends. Heaven's band just got a lot more talented. Rest easy, Jeff... it was an honor. I am a better person, friend, musician and bandmate for having known you.

Working with Jeff on Music production at L&R Productions was always a treat
with his amazing musical prowess. Between takes he would often break out on piece of music off the top of his head from anything from pop to classical to film scores. He had a great gift and will be missed...Marty

To one of my best and highly respected friends... beyond your supreme talents, you were a kind gentleman. We became friends when we were 12 and stayed friends ever since. If there is a heaven, I know you're there playing piano for the angels. We´re going to miss you!
