Jeffrey Thomas Bloom, 53, passed away on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 after a 10 year battle with multiple sclerosis. He loved to say he "was the youngest of seven" children born to Kathryn Bowen Bloom and Clarence Nicholas Bloom. Born on October 27, 1971 in Fort Wayne, IN, he attended Snider High School and Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. He was employed in the restaurant industry in fine dining and was very proud of his wine knowledge, especially after earning a Sommelier license in Napa Valley. He appreciated good food and the dining experience. He loved live music and attended many concerts over the years.
He was married to Nicola Gabriele for ten years and they maintained a close relationship until his death.
He is survived by his mother, Kathryn, sisters, Karen Bloom of Chicago, Janet Baltzell and spouse Gary, Linda Burrell and spouse Gus of Fort Wayne, Martha Conkling and spouse Andy of Fruita, CO, brother Bob Bloom and spouse Mary of Fort Wayne, sister-in-law Debbie Bloom of Huntertown, and nine nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, James Bloom.
The family would like to thank the staff at Sage Bluff Rehabilitation and the nurse practitioners at Optum for their care.
A private family memorial service will be arranged at a future date. Please consider a visit to a nursing home in memory of Jeff.

I met Jeff and his family when my husband Brad Wiltse was also a resident at Sage Bluff. A true man of strength and dignity in dealing with the challenges he had to face. A welcome smile and friendly hello Jeff was able to give. My heartfelt sympathy as you travel your grief journey. God bless you and keep you in his loving care.
