Jeffrey Byrd Obituary
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Norma Byrd; and brother, Joe Byrd.
Jeff was the pastor at the East Nitro Baptist Church, Nitro, which was a huge and important part of his life.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Jennifer Chadwick Byrd; one daughter, Ashley Samples (Jacob) and the lights of his life, his grandchildren, Isaac and Ava Samples; brothers, John Byrd and Jim Byrd; sister-in-law, Stephanie Chadwick Chafin; and a host of church families and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm, Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at East Nitro Baptist Church, 505 Washington Avenue, Nitro with Pastor Ed Wade officiating. There will be no graveside service.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in his memory to the education fund for Isaac and Ava through Peoples Federal Credit Union in Nitro.
