Jeffrey Richard Claudy, of Milton, Delaware, passed away suddenly on March 23, 2026, at the age of 43. He was born on September 23, 1982 in Cheverly, Maryland, son of Michael and Penny (Douglass) Claudy. He grew up in Laurel, Maryland and was a graduate of Atholton High School.

Following graduation Jeffrey proudly served his country in the United States Navy for four years as a submariner aboard the USS Bremerton based out of Bremerton, Washington. During his service, he spent time living in Hawaii and San Diego, experiences that fueled his love for travel and exploration. Following his military service, Jeffrey worked as a body shop mechanic, where he was known for his skill, dedication, and strong work ethic. He also spent six years working at Surfing Crab Restaurant in Lewes, DE, where he built lasting friendships.

Jeffrey had a passion for life and enjoyed many hobbies, including golf, bowling, and playing poker. He was an adventurer at heart who loved to travel, with memorable experiences including time spent in Thailand. He embraced life fully and cherished the moments he spent exploring new places and making memories with those around him.

Jeffrey is survived by his loving parents, Michael and Penny Claudy; his siblings, Christopher Douglass (Terri) of Millsboro, DE, Bryan Claudy (Regina) of Owings Mills, Maryland, and Joseph Claudy (Ashley) of Laurel, MD.; nieces and nephews CJ Douglass, Zachary Douglass, Madeline Claudy, Owen Claudy, Colin Claudy, Joseph Claudy, Ava Claudy, Andrew Claudy, Katelyn McGuire and a great niece Kenzie.

Celebrations of Jeffrey's life will be announced at a later date in both Maryland and Lewes.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Home of the Brave Foundation, 6632 Sharps Road, Milford, DE 19963 or any Dog Rescue charity of choice.
