Some of the best days of my youth were spent with Jitta playing for the Tigers in the Mendota Little League, hanging out in the neighborhood (playing sports & cards were among the activities), going to see the local band Hickory Grove practice & perform, coaching and umpiring youth baseball games together, and playing golf. We had fun on the MHS cross country team, too. When I went to ISU a few years ahead of him, I was so pleased that he chose that school, too, because I missed hanging around with him. I saw some great concerts with him, too. After college, we went our separate ways , but I was so impressed with the family man he became from following Vicki´s social media updates. Everyone that knew Jitta at any point in his life was lucky in my opinion. Obviously, his family and friends will miss him a ton. Condolences to all of you and may your great memories give you peace.
