Jeffrey L. Ferris, 69, of Gwinn, passed away on August 19, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family and under the care of his daughter Kimberly and U.P. Home Health and Hospice.
Jeffrey was born on April 22, 1956 to Donald and Shirley (Rua) Ferris in Renton, WA. He was a graduate of Stanwood High School.
Jeffrey married Doneen Johnson on December 12, 1998 in Long Grove, IA
Jeffrey worked with his father and siblings at Ferris Upholstery in Washington, did property maintenance for Red Fox Woods in Gwinn and was the owner/operator of Courtyard Apartments alongside his wife.
Jeffrey enjoyed farming, gardening, camping and going to the casino. He was a jack of all trades and enjoyed helping his kids remodel their homes. Above all, Jeffrey loved his family and adored being a grandpa.
He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly (Kyle) Argall of Gwinn; son, Benjamin (Sara Keck) Ferris of Gwinn; grandchildren, Miles, Landen, Olivia, Benson, Eva and Sharla; his siblings, Patricia (Dennis) Court, Gloria (Jerry Grubb) Scheffler, Bradley (Tammy) Ferris, Donald Ferris Jr. and Gwenn (Henry) Miller, all of Washington; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father, Donald Ferris, his mother, Shirley Striztel, and his wife, Doneen Ferris.
A celebration of Jeffrey's life will be held at his home on Sunday, August 31, 2025 beginning at 3 pm. All are welcome. Bring a chair.
