Jeffrey Galbraith Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 26, 2025.
Jeffrey Lynn Galbraith, born March 9, 1949, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter. He was a devoted husband to Margaret Pettigrew Galbraith for 39 wonderful years until her passing in 2011. Jeff is survived by his brother, Scott (Lorie) Galbraith, two sons, Benjamin (Jenni) and Jacob Galbraith, and three cherished grandchildren (his grandies), Ella, Jack, and Robbie. He is also survived by his long-time partner, Hazel Sponar, her two sons, Justin (Abbey) and Jon Sponar, and Hazel's grandchildren, Emily Sponar and Carter Wamsley.
Jeff dedicated nearly forty years of his professional life to Standard Register, where he managed plants in York, Pennsylvania and Rocky Mount, Virginia and ultimately spent a few years in Dayton, Ohio with the Standard Register corporate. His work ethic and commitment to excellence were admired by many.
An avid golfer, Jeff found joy on the course, and his passion for sports extended to being a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees and the New York "Football" Giants. He loved sharing his thoughts on movies and TV shows, always ready to offer his opinions and critiques with humor and insight.
Known as the best crab picker around, Jeff's culinary skills brought family and friends together, creating countless cherished memories. He will be remembered for his kindness, wit, and the warmth he brought to all who knew him.
Jeffrey Lynn Galbraith will be deeply missed and forever loved by his family and friends. A celebration of his life will be held Friday, December 19 at 10am (visitation, followed by mass at 11am) at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Columbia, PA where stories and laughter will honor his remarkable journey.
