Jeffrey Jordan Obituary
A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 PM, on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at the First Baptist Church of Salisbury First Ministry Center (FMC), 223 North Fulton Street, Salisbury, NC 28144.
Jeff was born November 13, 1955, in Salisbury, NC to Charlie Lee and Nellie (Ridenhour) Jordan. He graduated from Davie High School in Mocksville in 1974 and later from Catawba College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Salisbury in 1978. On November 4, 1979, Jeff married Anita Byrd in Mocksville, NC.
Jeff took pride in his work; he dedicated his career to Duke Energy in Charlotte, NC. Retiring from the position of Managing Director of Telecom Field Services in 2019 after 41 years of service.
Jeff was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing with his wife Anita on the Carolina coast.
One of his biggest joys was his grandchildren who he affectionately called his "babies".
Jeff is survived by his wife Anita and two sons, Matthew and his wife Anna of Kannapolis, NC; Mitchell of Stamford, CT. Grandchildren Anya Giddeon of Salisbury. NC, Bryce Giddeon, and Callahan Jordan of Kannapolis, NC; a great grandchild River Whitaker of Salisbury, NC; a brother Dennis Jordan and wife Robin of Ocean Isle Beach, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Nell, and his sister Cynthia Knox.
The family requests with gratitude that donations be made in his name to First Baptist Church of Salisbury 223 North Fulton Steet, Salisbury, NC 28144.
