JJ always had this contagious smile. A man who always cared more about helping others than anything else, JJ was an amazing guy. I had the pleasure of working with him these last few years at Benedict and getting to know him. I will never forget him walking to each room with snacks for everyone (even those who couldn't chew it haha, only with the best intentions) or baking cupcakes for the house with him. JJ had more than a contagious smile but a whole energy that made you feel better. He would reach out to give "back rubs" and "relax" us staff, (patting our back) and genuinely reminded me to take a deep breath sometimes. The biggest Yankees fan ever, you would rarely see him not in blue. And if it wasn't matching? Forget it!

I will miss coming in to his big smile, and know heaven gained another angel in his wake. -Nax Gillett DSP at Benedict

my deepest condolences to the family and his CP family out at Benedict Road IRA. I had the pleasure of working with JJ when he first came to the agency in seniors room in dayhab, then later on after COVID when i went to work in residential out at Benedict.. He loved going out in the community. He especially loved going to the ball games. He as well loved his coffee and especially helping his friends. He was always wanting to help whenever he could whether it was his home or in dayhab. He had a contagious smile that always knew how to brighten your day. He definitely will be sorely missed. RIP JJ. ----------------------Melisa S. /CP Rochester Elmwood DSP
